How to accelerate progress towards the SDGs?

Almost 80 percent of SDG targets are reflected in Kazakhstan’s national strategic development documents. In 2019, we launched a new a multi-stakeholder SDG platform to advance the nationalization of SDGs and accelerate their implementation. The SDG Platform brings public and private, national and local level stakeholders, to foster a dialogue that supports the efforts of implementing the Agenda 2030 in Kazakhstan.

UNDP Strategic Plan 2022-2025

The Strategic Plan 2022-2025 describes how UNDP intends to work together with our partners to deliver what’s required of us in these extraordinary times. This bold, ambitious Plan is structured around “3x6x3” – 3 directions of change, 6 signature solutions and 3 enablers – a clear framework for where we need to head. Over the next four years, we will work with countries to expand people’s choices for a fairer, sustainable future. Helping to get us back on track to deliver on the SDGs.

In Focus: Gender Equality

Making gender equality a reality is a core commitment of UNDP. We integrate gender equality principles across its all areas of work. In June 2020, we  achieved a Silver level certification of  the Gender Equality Seal.

In Kazakhstan, we continue our support to the country in meeting the gender equality and women’s empowerment commitments. We promote measures that offer more opportunities for women to participate in decision-making, to be more competitive on the labour market, and to stand jointly against the gender-based violence.
