July 23, 2017, 5:00 pm – a charity concert in the framework of the crowdfunding campaign to launch the social project KUNDE CAFÉ will take place at “MEGA Silk Way”
The goal of the event: to raise awareness on the work of KUNDE café - the first social café in Astana, where people with special needs will start working to rehabilitate, learn, communicate, provide for themselves and their families, and become full members of society.
KUNDE CAFE – is a pilot project that is implemented in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme, Astana Medical Center of Mental Health and the “Public association of disabled people “Bakyt”
The opening of KUNDE CAFE is an example of practical implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG#8: “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, which will bring feasible positive changes to support people with special needs, living in Kazakhstan. The United Nations Development Programme in Kazakhstan supports the launch of KUNDE CAFE.
The guests of the event include: Mr. Norimasa Shimomura, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Kazakhstan, Mr. Maulen Akhmetov, the founder of KUNDE CAFE, Ms. Assem Sattarova, co-founder and psychologist of the project, co-founder of the “Public Associatoion of disable people “Bakyt”, the future workers of KUNDE CAFE and their families.
