APEC Petrotechnic hosts an international training for Oil and Gas specialists from African continentOct 30, 2015
"Technical High School APEC Petrotechnic» (hereinafter – APEC Petrotechnic) holds an international seminar in oil and gas business for the professionals of the African continent during 21 – 31 October, 2015. The leading training center of Atyrau region will train 19 specialists from 7 African countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Comoros, Malawi and Namibia.
The seminar offers lectures and workshops delivered by leading experts of oil and gas. Specifically, participants will visit several fields and deposits in such organizations as EmbaMunayGaz, Atyrau refinery and KaspiMunaiGas to explore modern technologies of geological exploration, production, refining and transportation of oil and gas. Furthermore, an extensive cultural program including sports activities will take place within the training days.
Goryunova I., a head of UNDP Strategic Unit, Kuzembayev Y. B., a principal of APEC Petrotecnic, Myrzagaliyev S. K., a deputy principal of Atyrau educational department took part in the seminar’s opening ceremony.
At the end of the training, the seminar participants can apply gained knowledge and skills in their home countries. In particular, they will learn how to conduct research in the field of geochemistry and geophysics, the basics of geology, mining and primary processing of oil, management and application of leadership skills in the field of oil and gas.
The event is held in collaboration with the UN Development Programme in Kazakhstan in the framework of the project “Support to Kazakhstan to deliver development assistance to countries in Africa, Oceania, and the Caribbean through capacity building trainings to young professionals". This significant project is an important event in the field of Kazakhstani education and to hold it at the highest level is a set goal for APEC Petrotechnic.Contacts
