Our Projects

In support of national development objectives, we design and implement projects or specific time-bound development interventions that are meant to attain designated results in line with Country Programme Document through a set of planned, interrelated activities. We implement our projects in different regions of Kazakhstan to help mitigate the negative impacts of the transition period on people's lives. In this context, we closely cooperate with the Government at the central and local levels, non-governmental organizations and civil society at large.

In this context, UNDP provides support to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population within the project “Strengthening the Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities and Development of Special Social Services Provision System”, with cofinancing from Government of Kazakhstan and the UK Embassy. This cooperation includes an in-depth study of challenges encountered by people with disabilities, and the subsequent formulation of a national program for social inclusion of people with disabilities.
